the Fifth Wave

The Fifth wave, by Rick Yancy, is a book that has action, adventure, romance, and a sci-fi element. One thing I noticed, was that the main characters perspective on life changed completely, along with her actual life, as well. What I liked most was all of the twists that the Author throws at you. This book is similar to pretty much any other book about aliens; that is one of the reasons that I disliked the book. Something that confused me was some of the characters choices, because they did some very unnecessary things that had no importance to the story.

As I was reading I thought the book was a little slow, but around the end of the book it was very thrilling. I think this, because the end is when everything really happened. Another thing I noticed was that the book was kind of repetitive. It was obvious when the author was  about to throw a curveball. Overall it was a good book and I would recommend it.
I joined the cross country team, because I liked the yellow sweatshirts that I always saw people wearing, but it turns out cross country is so much more. It is a united family, who looks after one another. It is waking up at six A.M. on a Saturday to go run two miles. It is john harris cracking jokes to cheer everybody up after nearly dying. Cross country is more than people think, unfortunately…

Running is in my blood, but it is not in my legs, my feet, or my lungs. Even though I am not the fastest on the team, I still enjoy being on it. Cross Country makes me a better person every day. It has made my pain tolerance go up, a LOT. So if you are thinking about joining, just do it.
