how to drive a stick shift

Most cars nowadays are automatic, but many car enthusiast prefer to drive a stick shift or a manual. There are many reasons why somebody would want to drive a stick. One is that they are faster than automatic. Two is it is pretty fun. In the past recent years automotive companies have made cars with paddle shifters which is NOT A MANUAL.
First you start the engine by rotating the key clockwise in the designated slot and letting go, or on newer cars press the ignition button. For those of you that do not know, in a manual car there is a third pedal to the left of the brakes called a clutch. To go forward you should start by pressing the clutch all the down, then you slowly let off the clutch as you are slowly pressing down the accelerator. Then you drive like normal until you get to around fifteen mph, then you press the clutch shift to gear two slowly release the clutch and press the accelerator. keep doing this process to go faster. To stop you must press the clutch, then the brakes. That is a basic guide to driving a manual vehicle.

symbolism

There was once an old man. This old man had a cane. He used the cane to lean on when he was upset, mad, or even happy. The old man needed his cane all the time everywhere.
The old mans cane represents people that a person might look for in time of need. When you are upset you might turn to a mentor. when you're mad you might turn to a punching bag. When you are happy you might turn to a friend. What is your walking cane in life?

free post

Today was the cross country state meet. First I rode the bus there which took about four hours. we left at 8:15A.M. State is one of the best parts about being on the cross country team. The bus was hot and was pretty boring.
After we arrived, I walked and got the wristband that allowed me to freely walk wherever I wanted. After that, I cheered on the boys race. After celebrating the win, I went to the big feast that we always have after the meet. After gorging myself on food the parents brought, I hung out for a few hours. Then it was time to come home.

critical scene

There are many critical scenes in the Lord of the flies. One of them is on pages 166-168. This is the scene when Jack's tribe attacks ralph's. On page 168 Piggy says "I thought they wanted the conch." While reading this a reader should notice that they did not want the conch, but did want Piggy's specs.
The conch is a sign of law and order, so when the savages don't take it, they are demonstrating that they do not care about any of the above. Another reason that this is a critical scene is because it demonstrates how Piggy is still in his right mind. The savages took the specs so that they could make fire. Fire is a symbol of power and they took the only means of making it. This shows that they are in power.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?

A lot of embarrassing things have happened to me in the past. Some examples are fracturing my tailbone, throwing up in public and so on. I have been embarrassed a lot in my lifetime. I hope you never have to endure what I'm about to tell you. The most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me was the time I shot a guy with a paintball gun.
Me and my cousins were in the woods playing paintball while our parents were inside talking. My cousins live right by this golf course. We played a few rounds, my cousin was wearing a bright baby blue shirt. we decided to play one more. we split up, I saw the baby blue, I shot.
"ooooowwwwww" was what the enraged man said that was getting his terribly off shot golf ball from the woods. He came towards me and said where are you're parents, I told him they were inside. he broke through the doors screaming about what a terrible kid i was and how he was going to sue somebody, yadayada. Anyway, I got punished then and there in front of everybody. That was the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to me.

LOTF response

By the author saying "The world, that understandable and lawful world, was slipping away." he is telling the reader that the kids are becoming animal like. By Jack refusing to give Piggy the conch, we can see that jack does not respect or like Piggy. when Ralph says that Jack is breaking the rules and he says "Who cares?" this tells us that jack does not respect Ralph and is drifting away from society.
This passage is significant in many ways. One, it gets the point across that Jack does not like piggy. Two it shows that Jack is drifting away from society. It also shows jack is obsessed with hunting. It also tells the reader that everybody is drifting away from a lawful world.
